Link exchange directories may or may not be a good move for your link building campaign because of the manual nature of submission related with these type of services. Keep in mind these link exchange directories are not like typical directory submissions where you hand submit to a few of the major directories such as Yahoo and DMOZ just to get listed in them, nor is this about submitting your site to little spammy directories that the search engines deem as low value.
No, we’re referring to directories or communities that have members with real websites who are eager to exchange links with you for mutual benefit. Sounds like a good idea? Well, it was, until a couple of years ago when the search engines began to regard reciprocal-links (one to one exchange) as low value links. Don’t get me wrong, if you have tens of thousands of these weak links, it will still help you, but you would literally need a ton of them!
And most of these link exchange directories are semi-automated at best, meaning that you would browse through sites and request the other site for link exchange, and they have to accept it, and then both of you would have to insert the other party’s link codes on your own site manually.
But imagine having to constantly look for partners to exchange within these directories to submit to, and having to create links for them one by one. And do the same when they initiate the request. It’s a lot of discipline and grunt work that needs to be done day after day, consistently, if you want to see the eventually result. You see, unless you stay active and do it on a routine basis, it’s really difficult to acquire a lot of good quality links.
To be honest with you, I started doing a couple of these link exchange directories and within two weeks I found myself not bothering with those request emails and then pretty soon I’m not doing it anymore. Why? Human nature. It’s tedious! And of course, because we’re all busy and have jobs or businesses to run.
Fortunately, I recently found what I believe to be the absolute best solution. I found a link exchange community that will do the grunt work of link building and adding codes to your site AUTOMATICALLY. Totally hands off! All I have to do is to set up my account, type in my site’s url, the keywords I want to target which will be used as anchor texts pointing to my site (it’ll rotate them randomly for best results in the search engines), and it even links to me deep pages if I so choose. And here’s the best part…these links I get are actually one way links! Yup, they’re not reciprocal because there are thousands of sites in this community, and the system makes sure we don’t link directly back to each other. It makes sure that we have a 3+ way linking so that search engines won’t discount the value of the backlinks!
I cannot go into the details here but I think you too can see the beauty of this by now…if you enjoy getting only the weak reciprocal links the slow way, then this is not for you. But if you can see the benefit of an automated link-building community like this, continue on to the next page to find out how you too can build one way links day after day, all on auto pilot!
